Paulinho da Costa - Belisco

Some epic jazz funk form Brasil this time round, a new name to add to the ever growing list of back catalogues I need to check out. Paulinho's arrangements are chock full of slick percussion that acts as the spine for densely layered compositions that feature a wide array of sounds both typical of the jazz world and some from da Costa's native Brasil. Prime theme-tune material and excessively groovy.

Arthur Verocai - Dedicada a Ela

Its World Cup time and unfortunately the whole world can't be in Brazil right now to experience the furore of football coming home and staying up late to throw a party that has had myself and I'm sure, billions of people giddy like a child on Christmas eve for months on end.

So heck lets get those Brasilian juices flowing and take the trip from home, going to be posting up some Brasilian favourites, so stay tuned and enjoy the ride!
