Soundsweekly Radio Ep. 19 - Love In The Time Of The Blues

It's that time again folks. Something for the romantics, the soul heads and anybody feeling them blues. The result of a bit of an experiment I decided to conduct, there is no mixing involved here (bar the last 3 songs). Instead this is an exercise in song selection, which resulted in a journey that will hopefully take your soul for a ride through all the shades of blue, with some brief pit stops in the territory of a few other colours to keep things fresh.

Soundsweekly Radio Ep.13 - World Tour

Serious vibes. We haven't played much music of the worldly variety in the last few radio shows so we figured what better way to make up for it than a whole show full of exotic goodies. Narrowing down the track list to a reasonable length was difficult, with the first recording totalling a solid 3 hours and featuring more variety than a pack of Assorted Creams. However, in the interest of listenability, we've refined it to its absolute best, all tumpers, no fat, with a more coherent vibe through-out as well. So without further a-do, its time to grab your passport and head for your boarding gate, next stop ... the world!

Mr Bongo - Latin 45 #1

Connoisseur of Brazilian and African grooves, Mr. Bongo is set to release a host of 7 inches delving into the deliciousness from the world of Latin music. First up are two latin classics, Pete Rodriguez on the A side with 'I Like It Like That', and on the flip Joe Bataan's 'Subway Joe', both big big hits from the label that IS latin music, Fania Records. Both tracks are jam packed with jive worthy percussion and rhythm sections, however the pick of the two would have to be the A-side due to the sermon like vocals and epic horns that are so vital to any big latin tune.
